About Us
Elberta Elementary School is located in a rural, German town on the Gulf Coast of Alabama and is home to approximately 900 students in grades Pre-K through 6th. Within our walls, our students and staff have learned the importance of innovation through challenges we have faced.
As we have lived in the aftermath of Covid and Hurricane Sally, we have become proactive and innovative as we recognized the importance of differentiating our instruction to meet the individual needs of our students. Staff continued to adapt and adjust their instructional practice and deepen their own professional learning, while students created individual goals tracking their growth and progress. As a result of intentional student and staff engagement, EES has seen tremendous academic and leadership achievement.
One cannot speak of Elberta Elementary without thinking of our community and families. We as a school have been very purposeful in creating ways and opportunities to not only bring our community into our school but also to reach out and give back. From family nights to volunteering in a local nursing home, we want our community to know how much we value our family and community relationships. Relationships within the building are of great importance as well. Staff gatherings, classroom morning meetings, and student/staff mentorships are just a few ways we foster community within our building. Collaborative teams among the staff, students, and community unite to create the Elberta Elementary family. We are Elberta. We are Warrior strong.
